Videos like this are a catch 22. If I say I hate it, I’m labelled an old school punk. If I say I like it, then I’m a retard like everyone else who will swallow anything that is shoved down my throat by mainstream media. But you know what? I refuse to be apart of the second group I mentioned, so there you have it. “BedRock” is the second single and music video from the rap group/label known as Young Money – a bizarre orgy of rappers who range from Lil’ Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Gudda Gudda, Tyga, and Jae Millz. The video also features R&B artist Lloyd on the chorus.

The concept is a house..err.. mansion party music video that looks like it was filmed by a 12 year old who doesn’t know how to hold a camera properly. You might as well watch this video with a barf bag next to you, even the movie “Cloverfield” was more tolerable (and interesting, I might add) than this. The members of Young Money basically all lounge around the mansion and goof off in their pajamas. The nature of the video is rather fun, but the actual execution (along with the song) is disastrous.

There have been dozens of quality house party Hip Hop music videos, Notorious B.I.G.’s “One More Chance” being a prime example. They even took the liberty of trying to mimic that video by throwing in lots and lots of cameos, ranging from Birdman, Short Dawg, J.R. Smith from the Denver Nuggets, Jay Rock, ZC, Mack Maine, to Nixo. Sorry, but all that ‘dressing up’ is not going to hide how stupid and ridiculous this song and video is. Even the lyrics of the song are childish, did Lil’ Bow Wow’s friends write this song?
