2010 Kia Rondo sees a few changes, which include newly offered standard seven passengers seating. Rondo is much smaller than other vehicles with 3 rows of seats. It slots between Kia Sedona and competes with other minivan in the markets such as the new Mazda5.
New for 2010
For 2010, Rondo gets standard two-person third-row seat that also receives turn-signal indicators in the side mirrors and an Eco-Minder indicator.
Exterior and Interior
Rondo has large headlights and openings on each side of the bumper, which can house optional fog lights, two-tier grille, and accessory body kit including ground effects for visual flare as well as fender flares.
The exterior is also featured with standard power mirrors, automatic headlamps, and 16 or 17 inches wheels. Few of the optional equipments offered include power sunroof, fog lamps, roof rails, side molding, and chrome door handle.
As far as interior is concerned Rondo is featured with rounded dashboard panels, air vents, center controls, and dashboard shelf atop the glove compartment. With its third-row bench, Rondo can accommodate seven passengers.
Rondo is also offered with air condition as standard, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, auxiliary inputs, and 50/50-split third-row bench.
Two engine choices are offered in 2010 Kia Rondo- four-cylinder engine, and a small V-6 engine.
Rondos base edition that makes use of 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, gives 175 hp and 169 lb-ft of torque; it is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, while 2.7L V6 engine delivers a power of about 192 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque with five-speed automatic transmission.
Both transmissions have a gated shifter with a manual-shift mode. And, theres a fair bit of improvement in the performance, in comparison to its predecessor.
Suzuki Kizashi, and Nissan Altima are two of the superior options in its segment, and Id personally recommend the new Camry, if you dont mind spending a little extra.
